Riley Propersi, a Public Relations major currently pursuing a master’s degree in interactive media and communications, has always been drawn to the intersection of storytelling and technology. With a passion for creative expression and audience engagement, Riley uses their background and unique perspective to explore how interactive media can shape meaningful connections.
Academically, Riley has a strong foundation in public relations, honed through coursework and internships that emphasized social media strategy, content creation, and media relations. Recently, they studied abroad in Florence, Italy, where they gained international insight into global communication trends and creative inspiration from the rich cultural environment. These experiences have deepened their understanding of how interactive platforms can transcend geographical boundaries.
Riley’s interest in interactive media stems from a fascination with the ever-evolving nature of digital communication. They are particularly inspired by projects that combine technology with human-centered design, such as virtual reality experiences and immersive storytelling campaigns. Some of their favorite interactive media experiences include designing a mock social media campaign for a nonprofit organization and contributing to Quinnipiac’s student-run agency, which received accolades for excellence in social media strategy.
Looking ahead, Riley aspires to work in fashion, entertainment, or celebrity PR. They aim to leverage interactive media to craft engaging campaigns that resonate with audiences and leave a lasting impact. Their goal is to work on red carpets or create memorable brand experiences for iconic companies like Sony Music or Victoria’s Secret.
